Using Zoom for the first time?

To participate, here is what you need to do:

1) An hour before the meeting--if you are new to Zoom, bo to www.zoom.us, then click on Recources in the upper right corner of the screen, then download, to download it for free on your device. This will select the correc tclient for the device from which you are connecting. We encourage you to do this at least an hour before the meeting start time so you can have it set up in time. (If you already have Zoom on your device, you can skip this step!) The sfotware will also download automatically when you click on the meeting link, but you can do this in advance to be sure it's working.

2) Fifteen minutes before the meeting, find a comfortable place to sit in your home.

3) Five minutes befor the meeting, join the meeting by one of the following ways:

***On your computer, smart phone, or tablet:

Click the link link (above for the specific meeting)

***Dial in by any phone to +1 929-205-0699 and then enter the meeting ID and password (if required) when prompted (also found above for the specific meeting)

A few other tips:

1) Come a few minutes early to check connection and say hi to others.

2) Please mute your computer or phone unless you are speaking.

3) Mute and Video controls are in the bottom left of the screen (microphone icon and video camera icon - click on either to turn on or off); or typically bottom left of your phone.

4) If you are using your computer to access the meeting, you can choose "speaker view" or "gallery view" at the top right corner of the screen. One features the person speaking, the other allows you to see more faces.

5) The computer access to zoom includes a chat feature that allows you to ask questions of the host, communicate with all others, or select one other participant for a private call.
